Magna Carta River Relay Pageant 14th June 2015 Runneymede

To celebrate 800 years of the Magna Carta, signed by King John on 15th June 1215 a river relay or was organised. The spectacular flotilla of boats on the Thames, would lead the River Pageant until the Queen's jubilee royal barge Gloriana, the star of the show arrived, making 800th anniversary of Magna Carta at Runnymede an incredible historic event.
A commemorative 13 foot bronze statue of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II was unveiled by Jon Bercow MP. The statue of the Queen was created by sculptor James Butler, and inspired by the 1954 and 1969 portraits by Pietro Annigoni. All on the banks of the River Thames at Runnymede Pleasure Ground on 14th June 2015.
An incredible day captured on video with atmospheric music by George Frederic Handel, The Arrival Of The Queen Of Sheba & Water Music. History in the making, all shot on a Canon 550D, and where River Ray was born.
