Kevin Warsh Walked In and Broke the Market on His Very First Day. Here Is the Full Damage

This week the Fed flipped the script. Markets were pricing two cuts coming into the year. Now they are pricing two hikes. Kevin Warsh held rates at 3.5 to 3.75 in his first meeting with nine of eighteen members seeing higher rates in 2026. The Dow nearly hit 52,000 before falling 507 points on Wednesday. Every new Fed chair since 1994 has seen markets fall on their first press conference. Warsh's debut was the second worst since Greenspan in 1987.

SpaceX became a top four company by market cap within days of its IPO with only 5 percent of the float tradeable. August 11th is the first major lockup unlock to watch. Gold bearish bets are the most crowded since 2017 and gold is down over 20 percent from its January record. The top 10 US stocks are now worth more than China's entire GDP.
