Mills Lake - Black Lake Hike - Rocky Mountain National Park

The Black Lake Trail begins at the Glacier Gorge Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park and passes Alberta Falls and Mills Lake. Trail gains 1,480 feet in elevation and is 9.6 miles round trip. This is a very popular trail, so an early start is highly recommended. Also, it is best to wait until July to allow the snow to melt and the wildflowers to bloom - especially if you want to continue beyond Black Lake.
