First flight of the German NH90 Sea Tiger

The first flight of the NH90 Sea Tiger will replace the German Navy's ageing Mk88A Sea Lynx fleet.
The helicopter is the latest version of the proven NH90 NFH naval helicopter, specifically designed as a state-of-the-art anti-submarine warfare helicopter. New features include a new electro-optical system and improved electronic support measures.
In addition, the Sea Tiger is equipped with underwater sonar, sonobuoys and is armed with torpedoes and missiles. In addition to reconnaissance and transport, the Sea Tiger's ship-based missions include the attack of surface and subsurface targets.
