Angiogram: What I wish I'd known before the procedure

I wish I had had someone to ask! (And I meant to say my friend in the medical field didn't get bothered by me, not the other way around.)

BTW, went to Providence St. Joseph's in Burbank. Thought I had excellent care before, during and after... just wish I had know a little more about what to expect in terms of recovery time, etc.

UPDATE 10/7/16: My stent filled up so had to have another emergency angiogram + intervention just 3 days ago. Thanks to everyone's advice, I was prepared. I went to emergency for chest pain, but thought they might keep me, so I brought:

Phone charger
Extra underwear
EAR PLUGS
Aspercreme w/ 4% Lidocaine (for needlepricks-- doesn't eliminate pain but dulls it down a little)
Bandana for my hair because they don't let you shower

Worked out great!
