SEW ALONG MAKING DRESS PANTS WITH PATTERN VOGUE V8890 HOW TO SEW DRESS PANTS

Hello Makers and welcome to Sheer Stitchery!

In this video, you will sew along with me and learn how to make a pair of dress pants. I use a Vogue pattern (V8890) that I have made a few adjustments to (full seat and crotch adjustment - my darling husband does not have much of a bottom) and I tapered the pants to provide a more modern fit, which in my option is a lot more flattering on him anyways.

You will learn how to:
- Sew front slash pockets
- Sew back welt pockets (single welt)
- Create custom drafted pocket bags
- Install a sewn-on waistband (ran out of Petersham so I used athletic knit fabric in a fun print to line the waistband and pockets. PLUS it had wicking properties, it turned out a lot better than I had imagined.
- the order of how to stitch pants together to get the crotch seams to fit just right. (Inseams, outseams, crotch, center back seams)
- installing a sewn-on zipper sheild
- installing a zipper fly and waist tab closures
- using a blind hem foot to hem your pants
