(Talkloid) Yummy chocolate! (Dex/Sonika)

Yep, little known fact, chocolate is poisonous to humans. A lot of foods are actually...
The toxins in chocolate are caffeine and theobromine. Yes, caffeine is poisonous too.

Not much research has been done on how much theobromine would be lethal to a human, but it's generally accepted that you'd have to eat at least 20lbs (9kg) of milk chocolate in one sitting to be at risk. Note that dark chocolate contains more theobromine than milk chocolate, but you should still be fine. Children should be allowed less chocolate than adults because they're smaller, but the risk levels are still pretty low. Oh by the way that famous study on how "chocolate can help you lose weight" was a self-admitted fraudulent study. John Bohannon (the person behind the study, under the pseudonym Johannes Bohannon) intentionally faked a study to prove how broken nutritional science is and how easy it is to fool the media.
As for caffeine, an average lethal dose is 10 grams all at once. Once again dark chocolate has more of it, but really theobromine is more dangerous cause there's hardly any. One of if not the most caffeinated drinks is Redline Xtreme Energy, which has 316 mg (78.8 per fl oz), so you'd need to drink a gallon (3.8 liters) of it at once to die. Caffeine tablets and powders are a lot more concentrated though so they can be dangerous.
While we're here, oxygen is poisonous as well! If it weren't for all the nitrogen (and other gasses but mostly nitrogen) in the air that diluted oxygen for us, we'd be inhaling poisonous gas. Too much of a good thing is very very bad...
