Synopsis: Raj (Raj Babbar) lives a middle class lifestyle alongwith his mother and two siblings named Kiran (Sumeet Saigal) and Amar (Asif Sheikh) who are not his real brothers. His father remarried after the death of Raj's mother and the woman proved to be cruel and embittered to Raj. Thereafter his father passes away leaving behind in the care of his uncaring step-mother. Here Raj proves to be ideal and obedient son and also ignores his mother's taunts which she makes for him. Later one day, he comes across a young and attractive woman named Savitri (Anita Raj) who is living a wealthy lifestyle alongwith her father (Bharat Bhushan). Both of them fall in love with each other and plan to marry soon.Later Savitri arranges a meeting of Raj with her businessman father and calls Raj. But he does not shows up making Savitri concerned. Subsequently, Savitri finds out that Raj's step-mother has passed away. But before passing, she made Raj to promise to look after Kiran and Amar until they mature and stand on their own two feet. Therefore Raj has decided not to marry her. After some more years, now Kiran becomes a professional while Amar is studying. Raj wants to get his brothers settle first before starting his life. What he does not knows that fate has decided something else.
