Anupam started his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida (UF), but transferred to the University of Georgia (UGA) to finish off his bachelors degree. Since he attended a private medical school in the Caribbean, he has a lot of student loan debt, however, he does not have to make payments on it yet due to his income bracket from last year. Despite this, he saves a significant amount of money and is prepared to start making payments on his debt next year.

Anupam is working on building up his emergency fund, but still manages to save some money to travel a few times a year, thanks to his use of credit card reward points. Soon, he will begin investing in a 401k and other retirement plans. Eventually, he will buy a car and leave NYC for greener, more suburban pastures.

He is hoping to pursue a fellowship after his residency and then open a private practice and continue traveling the world doing medical mission trips.

Anupam values a stress-free life, and strives toward financial minimalism which should help him achieve his dream of early retirement and financial independence.
