Flow visualization around simple building shapes in wind tunnel
This video was shot at the Budapest University of technology and Economics, in the Theodore von Kármán Wind Tunnel Laboratory. Students of the Department of Fluid Mechanics tested several simple building shapes in wind tunnel to show the flow features around them.
Please note that to achieve better visibility, the visualization was performed in a slow laminar flow, while buildings immersed in the atmospheric boundary layer experience highly turbulent flow.
