Iconic Cable Bridge Over the Krishna River Reduced 50km Distance Between Hyderabad and Tirupati

Another prestigious road will be available for the people of the state. The construction of this road from Kalvakurti to Kolhapur has started. The distance between Hyderabad and Tirupati is about 50 km with this road extending to Nandyala in AP through the construction of a 4-lane iconic cable bridge over the Krishna river. The extent decreases. Currently, the construction of this iconic bridge is in the tender stage. Due to land acquisition issues in AP, the construction of this road has been going on slowly, but the works have been taken up after the completion of the tender process in Telangana.
The central government has declared this road as NH 167K starting from the junction in Kalvakurti town and extending to Nandyala via Nagar Kurnool, Kolhapur, Somesila along with Sangameswaram, Atmakur and Velugodu in AP. It connects with NH 765 at Kalvakurti junction. This road, divided into three packages, will be built at a cost of Rs.3,382 crores. As part of this, 87 km in Telangana. 887 crores will be spent on road construction. 2 major and 33 minor bridges along with 4 underpasses will be constructed on this road passing through 7 major and 24 minor junctions in the state.
