🧼How to make liquid hand soap from bars of soap, **Requested video 🧼

Welcome back to my channel. My name is Mercedes and this is the frugal life with Mercedes. I've been getting requests to show how I make liquid hand soap from bars of soap. I've been doing this for almost five years. It's easier then you think!

Items needed:
🔹️🧼 Bar of soap, I used Irish Spring 3.2 oz bar (I got it for free)
🔹️ 6 cups of water
🔹️ 8 cups of water
🔹️cutting board
🔹️cheese grater/food processor
🔹️knive
🔹️ large containers with lids
🔹️ large pot with lid
🔹️ whisk or stirring spoon
🔹️*optional, funnel

Directions:

Boil the 6 cups of water in a large pot. I put my burner on high.

Cup up or grate the soap. The small the peices the better.

When the water is boiling add the cup up soap.

Turn the burner to medium.

Mix the boiling water and and soap together until the soap is completely dissolved.

Then turn off the burner.

Add the 8 cups of cold/room temperature water to the pot.

Mix all the water together until well blended.

Put the pots lid on.

Let sit at least overnight.

Stir the contents again.

Add more hot water if needed. This depends on how thick or thin you want your soap.

Then transfer to a container of your choice.

When adding soap to your soap dispenser, you will need to give it a good shake or stir.

Note if your soap looks like jello this is normal! Add more water and or stir the mixture. The longer soap is stored the more jello like it may become.

I have made large batches of this soap before, using five bars of soap. I've never had my soap mixture become bad or moldy. But make sure the lid of the container you are storing it in is secure.
