'Holly Willoughby Says "Difficult Goodbye" To This Morning'

Holly Willoughby has announced she is to say a "difficult goodbye" to her role presenting ITV's This Morning after a 14-year stint.

The announcement follows a brief period of absence from the programme after a 36-year-old Essex man was charged with soliciting to commit murder amid a conspiracy to kidnap the 42-year-old TV presenter. Plumb was denied bail at denied bail at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court and will appear before Chelmsford Crown Court on November 3.

Holly's departure comes just five months after the departure of her colleague Philip Schofield, who presented alongside Willoughby on This Morning in 2009. Schofield left the show after a scandal whereby he lied to ITV bosses about an affair he had with a younger colleague.
