Rishi Sunak ‘will fail’ in any attempt to push through illegal asylum seeker plan
Writer, Broadcaster and Danube Institute fellow David Oldroyd-Bolt says British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is likely to fail in any attempt he makes to push the asylum seeker plan through.
“What is likely to happen is Mr Sunak will fail in any attempt he makes to push this through because it is quite simply illegal under international law,” Mr Oldroyd-Bolt told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“What should happen is that Mr Sunak, if he were a statesman of any stature and vision would now lead a Europe-wide movement to re-write the treaties.”
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said he is still pressing ahead with the plan regardless of the Supreme Court’s ruling.
Mr Oldroyd-Bolt sat down with Ms Credlin to discuss the supreme court ruling.
