Israel Hamas War News LIVE: Israel Discovers New Tunnel, Releases Video Of Hostages In Gaza Hospital

Israel has stepped up its claims of Hamas terrorists using the Gaza Strip's biggest hospital, Al-Shifa, as their base, saying that a captive soldier was executed at the site and two foreign hostages held. In a video released on X, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that the two hostages - one Nepalese and a Thai civilian - were kidnapped from Israel during the October 7 attack by Hamas and taken to the Al-Shifa hospital. Israel said that the surveillance camera footage showed that the Hamas terrorists used the hospital as a "terrorist infrastructure".

In another video, Israel said that its forces discovered a 55-metre-long tunnel, 10 metres underneath the Al-Shifa hospital complex during an "intelligence-based operation". In a X post, the IDF said the finding of the tunnel served as proof of their claim that Hamas has been using Gaza residents and patients of the hospital as "human shields".
