What are the consequences of Brexit in Italy with respect to a drivers license?

Until 31 December 2020, you could very easily convert a UK drivers license into an Italian drivers license. no test was required. The only requirement was evidence of your registration as an Italian resident. If you indeed converted it before 1 Jan. 2021, your Italian DL is sill valid.

If you did not convert it, you can drive in Italy with a UK drivers license if you have also an International drivers license.

However, if you are registered as an Italian resident, within a year of residence, you are supposed to get an Italian drivers license if you wish to keep driving in Italy.
