Data Analyst Certificate Programs - What to Look For

Thinking about a data analyst career? Here’s what you should look for in data analyst certificate programs.

For most people with no prior experience, a data analyst certificate program alone isn’t going to be enough to land a job. However, it might be a good starting place for building some data analyst skills.

While you don’t need to be the most technical person to get a job as a data analyst, you will need SOME technical skills. Whether the program focuses on a programming language like Python, R, or SAS or they use lower code options like Tableau or Power BI, you should be proficient in at least one of these areas when you finish the program.

Be wary of programs that promise you’ll find a data analyst job. These usually come with catches and are little more than a marketing tool.
