After barn owls fledged 4 young from a nest box pigeons entered and attempted to breed. The whole event was streamed live in our YouTube channel (Charter Group Birdcams ציפורים אונליין קבוצת צ'רטר).This is the third and last documentation of pigeons trying to entering and breeding in barn owl nest boxes in 2021. Even though the pigeons lost breeding attempts in the end they do not give an keep returning. Since pigeons can have multiples breedings per year, their method of not giving up seems to work.
All the birds in this video are WILD and chose to enter and could leave as they please. We set security cameras in bird nests that we stream live in our YouTube channel “Charter Group Birdcams” in order to observe the birds in nature but not to interfere or intervene.
