Patagonia Macro Puff vs DAS Parka - Which one is better?

We have been getting this question a lot last week. So, here is a head to head comparison of the Patagonia Macro Puff jacket to the Patagonia DAS Parka.

Both are legit synthetic insulation jackets that will serve climbers, hikers, and anyone looking for a warm puffy.

The main differences are the insulation and how much of it. The Macro Puff features the down-like Pluma Fill insulation and packs up small. There are 135 grams of it in the size Large we are testing.

The DAS Parka has 173 grams of Primaloft Gold Eco with Cross Core insulation. So, 40 grams more insulation. So, it is a bit warmer than the Macro Puff.

Both feature very lightweight materials - 10D for Macro Puff, 10D Pertex Quantum Pro for DAS Parka.

Macro Puff is 16 ounces, DAS is 20 ounces.
