Dulles Greenway Eagle Cam: Rosa Out-Flies a Hungry Neighbor

Dulles Greenway Eagle Cam 02-22-2023: As Martin sits on the nest, he sees Rosa coming in fast and loud. She's clearly out of breath as she lands and they both send out impressive alarm calls. The Side View cam shows us why - she was pursued home by another adult eagle, no doubt hoping to steal a meal. Martin takes off as it flies away to make sure it got the message that no free-loading is allowed at this nest, and Rosa settles in for some dinner. (Don't worry, she got right back to incubating before the eggs were uncovered too long.)
