Bayrisch Lernen (& Texas Deutsch!)

Ich versuche Bayrisch zu reden! In this video, my friend Anna-Lena teaches me a bit about the Bavarian dialect known as Bayrisch! Germany has many different dialects which are similar to accents except they differ even more in word choice, grammar, tones, etc. Many people would even say that Bayerisch sounds nothing like normal German aka Hochdeutsch! I was able to ask Anni a bit about what the dialect is, how one learns it as a kid / in school, if there are certain phrases or words that are really common, and more! At the end of the video, we also tried out some “Texas German” which is actually spoken in the United States! Enjoy!

Note on spelling: I have found the word bayrisch written in so many different ways such as bayerisch, boirisch, bayrisch, etc so I'm sorry if this version looks false! I think Bayrisch is the most common spelling :)
