Red Kites
The magnificent Red Kite, with its red-brown body, beautiful pointed wings and forked tail. Less than 20 years ago, there were only one or two known breeding pairs left in the wild in Wales which it was fully extinct in Scotland and England. Today, local walkers in Brecon and the surrounding areas have noticed a huge influx of the red kite, with dozens of birds frequently spotted overhead. According to the Welsh Kite Trust, there are now more than 2500+ breeding pairs of red kites in Wales, and they're producing more and more offspring.

Four Waterfalls
The Four Waterfalls walk is a captivating woodland walk exploring the Waterfall Country in the Brecon Beacons. As its name suggests, this circular walk lets you discover the four falls of Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd y Pannwr and Sgwd-yr-Eira. All different and unique in their own way along the River Mellte.

Henryd Falls
The highest waterfall in South Wales is tucked away on the western edge of the Brecon Beacons. Plunging 90ft (27m) into a wooded gorge, Henrhyd waterfall is a spectacular sight and the surrounding Graig Llech Woods are a haven for wildlife. Henrhyd Falls in the Brecon Beacons doubled as the Bat Cave in the big-budget film starring Christian Bale, Batman- The Dark Knight Rises

Woodshack Abergavenny by the Sugar Loaf Mountain
Abergavenny is a market town and community in Monmouthshire, Wales. Abergavenny is promoted as a Gateway to Wales; it is approximately 6 miles from the border with England.
Sugar Loaf, sometimes called The Sugar Loaf, is a hill situated 2 miles north-west of Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, Wales and sits within the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is the southernmost of the summit peaks of the Black Mountains, with a height of 1,955 feet.

White Castle
White Castle is the best preserved and most imposing of the trio of Monmouthshire fortresses known as the ‘Three Castles’ – which includes Grosmont and Skenfrith – built to control the border. Originally constructed from wood and earth, a series of renovations transformed it into the significant defensive structure we see today. Its medieval name might derive from the white rendering used on its masonry. The large outer ward is as big as a football pitch, while the pear-shaped inner ward sits behind a deep, steep-sided, water-filled moat.
Many of these features are thought to be the work of the Lord Edward (later King Edward I) who took possession of the Three Castles in 1254. The modifications at White Castle, his first Welsh castle, can be seen as a forerunner of the mighty fortresses he would go on to build in north Wales.
