Welcome to our animated telling of Henryk Sienkiewicz's classic story, "The Lighthouse Keeper of Aspinwall".

This video follows the incredible journey of Skavinski, a Polish wanderer who has spent his life facing relentless hardships. From being a gold-miner in Australia and a diamond-digger in Africa, to surviving shipwrecks on the Amazon and fighting in numerous wars, Skavinski has experienced the extremes of human suffering and adventure.

Now in his seventies, he seeks only one thing: peace and rest. When a severe storm sweeps away the previous lighthouse keeper in Aspinwall, near Panama, the US Consul, Mr. Isaac Falconbridge, must quickly find a replacement. Skavinski applies for this solitary job, hoping to finally find a safe harbor from his lifetime of bad luck.
