LATEST: Bystander kills downtown Seattle shooting suspect; Mass shooting in Lakewood; Fatal stabbing

Wednesday marked a violent night in western Washington with multiple incidents in Seattle, and a mass shooting in Pierce County. KOMO News has the latest on all the stories and will be following up to gather more information.

A bystander shot and killed a gunman who shot two young men outside a downtown Seattle hotel Wednesday night, according to the Seattle Police Department. Around 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to reports of gunshots at 1st Ave and Union Street. Officers arrived to find three people with gunshot wounds.

A 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Seattle on Wednesday evening, according to the Seattle Fire Department. Seattle police said that at 10:15 p.m., they were called to an assault near 5th Ave and Pike Street as Seattle fire medics arrived in the area and found a man with stab wounds in a nearby alley.

Seven people were shot at Harry Todd Park in Lakewood Wednesday evening, according to the Lakewood Police Department.

The LPD confirmed to KOMO News the shooting occurred sometime before 8 p.m.

Lakewood police also confirmed the shooting incident occurred near American Lake Park, which is also in Lakewood. The LPD continued to note that five of the seven victims were found in the park, and two others walked to the hospital.
