Rescued Mare & Foal, August 2012

This is the story of two of eleven neglected horses seized from a Perry County, Ohio location in August 2012.

These horses still had a very long road to travel at the time this video was made, but have since made a full recovery. The man and woman who were convicted of 11 counts of animal cruelty in this case served 60 days in jail and have since been released. They received fines, probation, and community service.

All 11 horses were required to be surrendered to the Humane Society and I was able to adopt these two. Some of the other 9 horses have since found their forever homes, while a few others wait for that special person or family to come along.
