📌 ITR-1 (SAHAJ): The Easiest Tax Form for Salaried Individuals! 🇮🇳

✅ Who CAN File? (Eligibility for AY 2026-27)

• Resident Individuals with a total income up to ₹50 Lakh.

• Income Sources: Salary/Pension or Other Sources (like Bank Interest and Dividends).

• 🏠 BIG CHANGE: You can now file using this form even if you own up to 2 House Properties (it used to be just 1!).

• 📈 NEW: You can now report Long-Term Capital Gains (LTCG) up to ₹1.25 Lakh from stock markets/mutual funds.

• 🌾 Agricultural income up to ₹5,000.

❌ Who CANNOT File?

• Income above ₹50 Lakh.

• Business or Professional income (Freelancers and Consultants).

• Income from Crypto/Virtual Digital Assets.

• If you are a Director of a company or hold Unlisted Shares.

📋 Quick Checklist Before You File:

1️⃣ Match Your Documents: Double-check your Form 16 with your AIS/TIS statement.

2️⃣ Old vs New Regime: If you choose the Old Tax Regime, filing Form 10IEA is now mandatory.

3️⃣ Bank Accounts: You must report all active bank accounts.
