While most of the world slows down on Christmas Eve, a whole group of people don’t get to “clock out” from responsibility.

In this Christmas Eve episode of The Tradepreneur Show, I’m talking about the men and women in the trades—HVAC, plumbing, electrical, service techs, dispatchers—who keep homes warm, water flowing, and systems running because heat doesn’t care it’s Christmas Eve and neither do broken pipes. But the trades aren’t alone tonight.

We’re also recognizing the firefighters in the station house, police officers on the beat, military members standing watch, NORAD tracking Santa, long-haul truckers moving freight, and nurses and medical staff in hospitals and nursing homes caring for people who can’t wait until “after the holidays.” And we’re remembering the people who are alone, the families missing loved ones, and those without shelter tonight.

I also share a special piece I wrote years ago—“The Night Before Christmas: Tradepreneur Edition”—a twist on the classic Christmas poem that captures what it really feels like when the phone rings, the house is cold, and someone still shows up.
