Bach/Siloti Prelude in B Minor is one of the most famous and beloved piano transcriptions ever written, and the most famous transcription of Alexander Siloti. The original J.S. Bach's Prelude in E Minor however, composed in 1717 for the first son Wilhelm Friedemann in order to teach him to play keyboard instruments, is barely never played. This piece was later transcribed by Bach himself into a famous Prelude BWV 855 from the Well Tempered Clavier that is far more famous than its predecessor nowadays.
