The History of the Most Upvoted Anime Episodes on Reddit (2011-2020)

This dynamic bar chart logs the top 15 anime episodes on r/anime by karma (number of upvotes minus number of downvotes) through time. Since the subreddit is constantly expanding, newer episodes will inevitably topple the scores of older episodes and only the very best can stand the test of time. To give you an idea of the growth of the subreddit I keep a counter of the number of subscribers in the top right corner.

Note that the number of subscribers at any given time is an estimate based off of linear interpolation of several data points at different points in time, it is reasonably accurate but not 100%. Secondly the actual karma values for episodes fluctuates since reddit adds a little bit of randomness to the scores of each thread. As a result the true karma scores may be a tiny bit smaller or bigger in every case, but not enough to change the rankings of probably 99% of episodes in this video.
