How is a membrane sweep done #pregnancy
If you were at or past her due date, you may be offered a membrane sweep, which is a procedure used to try and naturally induce labor.
During this procedure, your healthcare provider will go through the cervix with their finger (wearing gloves) to separate the amniotic sac from the uterus. In this video, Dr. Sasha Hakman uses an orange to demonstrate what this looks like.
