CooperFX Outward V2 Demo and Review | Secret Weapons

The Golden Retriever is the perfect iconography for CooperFX. Not just because he is the namesake of the company but because he is so in line with what it feels like to play the Outward. Like man's best friend; you never quite know what the Outward is thinking. It's a little impossible to parse exactly what's going on it's head but you can ALWAYS trust one thing; like a good boy, the Outward's intentions are always good. This granular sampling pedal excels in reimagining your signal. From random octave stutters so subtle pads the Outward is your new best friend. Throw the ball that is your signal as far as you want. The Outward will catch it and bring it back to you. I find incredible use in the Outward is live environments as a subtle trail of my playing that adapts and changes seamlessly. In the studio it's great as the beginning of drones and mood setting moments for inspiration. The way it captures small pieces of a part and sands the edges down is beautiful in a way that reminds me of The Riceboy Sleeps. If you know, then you know.
