How Four Ethiopian Groups Use RAW BUTTER for HEALTHY Natural Hair (Afar, Hamar, Borana & Karrayyu)

Hi everyone! Today's video is the first of a new series on my channel entitled Our Roots! Our Roots explores unique hair care practices around the world and examines the culture in which they're ingrained. This first episode is on four STUNNING Ethiopian groups: the Afar, Hamar, Borona, and Karrayyu. These groups use raw butter to not only moisturize and maintain the health of their gorgeous curls but also style their hair - for beauty and/or symbolism. I've compiled clips from nearly 25 videos to showcase the beauty of these individuals and the benefits of using raw butter on your hair.

I mentioned in the video that Borana and Karrayyu live in the Oromo region but they also belong to the Oromo ethnic group. I didn't make this clear in the video so I wanted to include it here in the description.
