西安舊稱長安，從大秦一統到漢唐盛世，西安曾經在兩千年的時間跨度中作為中國首都和政治、經濟、文化中心，被譽為「天然歷史博物館」，以及國際著名的旅遊目的地城市，擁有厚重的歷史積澱。從喀什回程的路上，我來到了西安，來到了這個絲綢之路的起點。在這裡，我看到了前所未見的古代中國的城市規劃與古典建築，在這裡充分領略到當初唐王朝是何等繁華。明代洪武年間所建造的鐘樓、鼓樓與城樓是西安市中心最受人矚目的建築，在視頻裡將會帶大家一探究竟。
