Playing Ghouls 'n Ghosts on the Sega Genesis/Megadrive
In this game, you take on the role of Arthur, a knight who must battle demons and Satan himself over 5 levels of increasingly difficult gameplay to save the soul of his beloved.
It is the sequel to the Capcom arcade game Ghosts 'n Goblins, and really does take the action up a notch. Running on the Capcom CPS arcade system, it has a cracking sound track, large colourful sprites, and silky smooth gameplay. It rates as one of my favourite arcade games of all time.
This is the first time I've played the Genesis/Megadrive version, and it has been over 30 years since I played the arcade game. Let's see how I get on.
