How Soon Is Now, The Smiths (Clone Cover)

The Smiths' iconic track "How Soon Is Now" offered lovingly and respectfully by the AGBs of the Instrument Owners Club. Social distancing was enforced as much as possible during this quarantine performance. Thanks for watching!

Vocals: provided by the giant AGB. Currently our tallest member allowing him to stand high enough to reach the Shure Super 55 Black microphone without standing on tip toes. Mic-pres provided by the Zoom LiveTrak L-12. All recorded in Logic.

Rhythm Guitar: The glorious AGB with his Manson MA25 Holosparkle sustainic midi guitar lovingly assembled by fellow Southwesters, the Manson Guitar Works team. Not even bothering to try to replicate Marr's iconic sound, the HX stomp provides a stereo tremolo with Devin Townsend's Mooer Ocean Machine bringing all the delay a strapping young lad could require. Augmented by a Korg Kaoss Pad KP3 bringing its entirely spurious but completely necessary electronica.

Lead Guitar: The "standing too close to the edge of the frame makes you look a little buff" AGB with his stunning Duesenberg Guitars Soundgarden Starplayer Alliance. Using the most difficult bend technique he could find to emulate the iconic and un-emulatable slide guitar tone so important to this track. Only a Dunlop Wah Cry Baby was injured in the process, all other tones provided by Logic's Stadium Spread VST which was discovered entirely by accident.

Bass: The "bouncy and a little confused" AGB making use of two of the 5 strings on his Ibanez SR875 and pushing the Bartolini pickups to their sonic limits. Bravely choosing to use a pick and play different frets than Rourke because apparently "fingers are too easy".

Percussion: The stunningly attractive AGB on his recently repaired and back to glory Yamaha DTX950k drums with Superior Drummer 3 providing the tones of a lightly modified "Huge Snare Kit"
