I'm talking new regional forms, evolutions and prevolutions! But the reason why there are so many new pokemon is because of a big event called the decay! Nobody knows exactly how it came about but it clashed 4 of the pokemon worlds biggest regions together causing chaos and changes everywhere. And now you wake up 10 years after it all happened...
