RtReports - The Report Template and Report Related Content

Use the Format Template to bring in default information about the Parent Event Frame and Child Event Frame into your report.

[00:20] The Format Template is used to bring information into the report.
[00:31] Start by looking at an existing Format Template and Report that has been configured to bring in default Attributes.
[01:01] This report has been divided into two parts: a Batch Overview section and a Units section. Start by comparing the Batch Overview section of the Format Template and the corresponding output in the report. Note that an Event Frame has already been selected.
[02:47] Start with an empty Format Template and add information related to the Parent Event Frame default Attributes, along with default information about a single Child Event Frame.
[03:19] Note that this report has an existing Data Template, but an empty Format Template.
[03:37] Select Event Frame for testing this Report Template.
[04:19] Manually Check Out the Unreleased report so we can make edits
[04:30] Insert a new Section for the Batch Overview.
[04:51] Insert a text item into the Batch Overview Entry. View the report by refreshing with F5 or selecting ViewRefresh.
[05:20] Insert a Data Item to add the name of the Report Template to the Report. Select the Source for this Data Item in the Data Journal.
[06:05] Add a line break using HTML markup.
[07:18] Add timestamp using UTC Time.
[09:30] Add table with Start Time, End Time and Duration.
[12:27] Add Section for a Child Event Frame. We will only report on a single Child Event Frame. A later video will discuss using Iterators to report on multiple Child Event Frames.
[13:41] Edit the Format Template to add the Child Event Frame Name, Primary Referenced Element and Procedure to the Report.
[15:16] Copy existing table and make edits to report on the Start Time, End Time, and Duration of this Child Event Frame.
[17:19] Exporting the Format Template.
