"Year of the Cat" Al Stewart - Skinny Devil cover

Al Stewart wrote this gorgeous song and recorded it (with Alan Parsons at the helm) at Abbey Road Studio back in 1976 (the title track to his 7th album). The song, and the album, pushed him to immediate stardom. "Year of the Cat" was his first charting single, and reached #8 in the US (and top 40 status in 7 countries).

Given the complexity of the arrangement (guitar solos, sax solos, etc), I opted to do an abridged version of the song: Just the first 2 verses. I may revisit this later after some time to ponder alternative arrangements, but for now, I hope you enjoy!
