Approach and landing in WINDY and GUSTY Heraklion, Crete in 4K

Today approach and landing on runway 27 in Heraklion, Crete on our private business jet Bombardier Learjet 60XR.

Usually, the wind is blowing from north, northwest direction making air very turbulent especially closer to the ground.

This time I was quite surprised that the approach itself was not turbulent. However once we crossed runway threshold we were hit by the turbulent gust requiring full deflection of flight controls to deal with it.

In any case this was not the most turbulent approach I have ever experienced, but there was nothing like that for a long time.
