Announcement of Dick the Bruiser's Death 1991

One of the saddest days of my life occurred on November 6, 1991 when a friend called me up to inform me that Dick the Bruiser had died while vacationing at his Indian Rocks, Fl home. The Bruiser allowed me to photograph his highly publicized wrestling matches up at the ring way back in 1969 when I was just 10 years old. He also let me sell his pictures at the wrestling matches as long as I gave him his 20%. Well worth the price. He was so popular in Japan, that I got a job with the Japanese Wrestling magazines traveling worldwide, covering matches for the Japanese publications. In the mid 80's, Dick the Bruiser turned me into a professional wrestling manager on his TV program, All Star Championship Wrestling. The Bruiser was my childhood idol, mentor and father-in-law when I married his daughter, Michelle. His passing left a void in my heart. He will be truly missed.
