Various shots of interiors of deserted rooms in houses, looks like they've been ransacked. L/S of the railway station at Diredows which was bombed by the allies. Various shots of the railway workshops damaged by bombing.
L/S of an Italian aeroplane, a Savoia 79, in flight. M/S of the aircraft landing. M/S of the Savoia on ground with British officers walking towards the machine. C/U of the Italian emissary who has come to the allied lines to negotiate the surrender of Addis Ababa. He walks off with the British officers.
Various shots of bridge over ravine at Awash, the Italian army wrecked it in their retreat. Various M/Ss of an allied convoy moving along the road to Addis Ababa. The road is lined with natives all carrying white flags. Various shots of wrecked Italian aeroplanes; Caproni and Fiat fighter aircraft and Savoia 79 transport planes. M/S of the armoured car bearing General Wetherall, the car flies a Union Jack and is escorted by Italian motorcycle police.

C/U of a sign - 'Addis Ababa' - pan to men of the South African Scottish Regiment as they march into the town behind their pipe band.

Note: Allied forces entered Addis Ababa on Sunday April 6th 1941 after covering 700 miles in a month.
