Messa di Gloria: Gloria by Giacomo Puccini

The Gloria from the Messa di Gloria by Giacomo Puccini (1858–1924). Conducted by Robert Vickery on Pentecost Sunday, May 30, 1993. The tenor soloist is Stephen Schmall, and the baritone soloist is John Jagoe.

The mass was composed in 1880 when Puccini was 21 years old. The "score was created to serve as Puccini's graduation thesis from the Institute Musicale of Lucca, Italy, and more important, was intended as a tribute to the tradition of his family who for four generations had specialized in sacred music."
