Throughout the series, we see Tony Soprano display affection for animals. We see this most prominently with Tony and Ralphs race horse Pie-O-My. As Tony kills Ralph for killing Pie-O-My, something that seems out of the normal for a typical mafia boss. As a result of this, he's questioned by his peers. So, it brings up the question, why did Tony Soprano love animals so much?
