In this video, learn the Identity Property - Simple but Important for Exams!

1. Additive Identity: 0
Formula: a + 0 = 0 + a = a
Ex: -7 + 0 = -7
Ex: 0 + 5/6 = 5/6

2. Multiplicative Identity: 1
Formula: a × 1 = 1 × a = a
Ex: 3/4 × 1 = 3/4
Ex: 1 × (-2/3) = -2/3

⚠️ Key Points to Remember:
1. 0 is the Identity for Addition of Rational Numbers
2. 1 is the Identity for Multiplication of Rational Numbers
3. When you add 0 or multiply by 1, the number remains unchanged
