NON RV Trip to the southwest

Since I had purchased a plane ticket prior to finding out I was losing my job, this trip was still a go. The Colorado River area between CA and AZ is an amazing place to explore. I would like to come back here with the RV someday. The RV parks that I saw pricing for were reasonable and the river is quite the mecca of recreation. If you want to pack a bunch of water, you can go get lost in the Mojave. And for the off roader...lots and lots of desert hills and sand.
