Shalom Resort Gaili, Nagaland

The day was 10th June 2021. We cranked up our motorcycle and headed towards Jalukie via Khoukhidolong, Chathe Prayer Centre, Gaili Village and onward.

The ride was a combination of tarmac road with patches of off-road riding in some section. As a whole, the total riding experience was just awesome as we were needing a ride just to blow off cobwebs from our hairs since the second wave of Covid-19 lockdown started.

As we were cruising on the road between beautiful mountains with full of greeneries where cattles were grazing, the attention of our busy eyes were caught by this sign board just about 1 km from the main Gaili Village Gate where it was written SHALOM RESORT 1½ with an arrow mark pointing towards our right. On seeing that, without a second thought, we turned our motorcycle and headed straight to the resort.

It was beyond our imagination that such a place is nestled in the midst of the beautiful paddy fields and the forest. Our experience there was astounding…the rest you can decide from the video.......

We highly recommend this place to all our rider friends and hikers from within and outside the state to at least visit the place to feel the peaceful environment of the nature and not forgetting the riding experience along the way.

How to reach:
There are two routes you can take if heading from Dimapur.
* Dimapur - Chumukedima - Shoxuvi Village - Mhainamtsi - Ngwalwa - Gaili
* Dimapur - Chumukedima - Khoukhidolong - Take Chathe Prayer Centre
Road - Moava Village - Punglwa - Gaili

If coming from Kohima.
* Kohima - Medzhiphema - Seirhma Village - Punglwa - Gaili
