SWOT: Interferometry for hydrology (english language)
Thanks to interferometry technique, Swot will provide high-resolution observations (also) over land. Swot is designed to observe nearly all surface water bodies as small lakes or reservoirs (surface from 250 m x 250 m with a goal of 100 m x 100 m), rivers (width larger than 100m with a goal of 50 m) but also floodplains, channels, wetlands and uplands that should be identified and measured accurately. Swot thus should measure 65% of the global lake storage change.
