Samer och rovdjur

Samerna är hårt pressande av rovdjuren i Sverige. Vissa år förlorar samerna upp till ca 60 000 renar varje år till rovdjuren och situationen börjar bli ohållbar och vissa samebyar har förluster mellan 30% -50% av kalvarna. I denna film så får vi följa samerna i Tåssåsens sameby i Jämtland under ett år och vi får även ta del av deras problem med rovdjuren och då speciellt vargen.

The Sami are under heavy pressure from the predators in Sweden. In some years the Sami lose up to 60,000 reindeer each year to the predators and the situation is becoming unsustainable and some Sami villages have losses between 30-50% of their calves. In this film, we get to follow the Sami people in Tåssåsen's Sami village in Jämtland for a year and we also get to see their problems with predators and especially the wolf.
