Weather news from behind Lake Peipsi. Today, (2.08), powerful thunderstorms developed in many parts of western Russia in the hot, unstable mass of air, moving northward in the southern current. In the afternoon, a thrombus broke out in the Andreapol area of ​​the Tver region, squandering the woods, destroying buildings and, according to bystanders, two people also lost their lives.

If the hot and unstable air mass had been located above the Baltics today, powerful thunderstorms would have developed here as well. All the more so as a low-pressure area was nearing us, carrying cooler air to the west to the east. There were very high temperature contrasts in western Russia today - cooler air collided with hot air.
