Lebanon: UN Pressed on "Ethnic Cleansing"

When pressed on whether Israel’s actions in southern Lebanon amount to “ethnic cleansing”, UN Humanitarian Chief Tom Fletcher stops short of using the term — instead warning of “coercive displacement”. But with entire villages being destroyed and communities forced from their land, warnings of war crimes are intensifying — including from UN experts.

So can there be accountability without acknowledging the reality on the ground?
